AFL Grand Final

September 25th – Dean Lewis is set to play two HUGE shows in Melbourne for the AFL Grand Final!

The AFL Grand Final is an annual Australian rules football match, that traditionally takes place in Melbourne Cricket Ground, stadium opened back in 1853 that has a capacity of more than 10.000 people!
AFL Grand Final it’s like the Australian Super Bowl, just to give you an idea.

But instead of having a HUGE mid game entertainment, AFL has a pre-show match.
Acts from all around the world has performed: back in 2014 it was Ed Sheeran, in 2016 Vance Joy, Sting and in 2017 The Killers.

This year, is time for an all australian line up. From the press release:

The AFL is pleased to announce an All-Australian line up will perform in the Virgin Australia Pre-Game Show at the 2019 Toyota AFL Grand Final Day, with Dean Lewis to play another set at the Premiership Party after the match has finished.

So Dean Lewis will play not one, but TWO shows inside the venue that has a capacity of more than 10.000 people.

The event will be broadcasted for Australia by Channel 7, and according to the TV schedule, the show will start at 11.00 am of September 28th.

Seven’s Footy team captures the excitement, atmosphere and colour in the final countdown to the big game, including pre-match analysis and news, celebrity interviews from the marquees, and all the pre-match entertainment including Paul Kelly, Dean Lewis and Tones and I, along with the motorcade of retiring stars.

As we said before, Dean will play ANOTHER show that will take place AFTER the match. Even that one will be broadcasted by Channel 7 BUT if you are from Melbourne area, those infos from AFL official site could be helpful.

Fans not attending the Toyota AFL Grand Final can gain entry to the free Premiership Party to enjoy Dean Lewis’ set and the presentation of the 2019 AFL Premiers from 6:45pm on Saturday September 28 via the lawn opposite Gate 2.
